AVSI was founded in 1972 with a first project in Zaire and it currently operates in 39 countries, ranking among the top 10 Italian NGOs. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation we brought five storytellers into the field, so that they could visit our projects and narrate our idea of the future.

AVSI Job Vacancy 2023

Main tasks and responsibilities

To support the teachers in developing pedagogical approaches that respond to the need of enhancing the social, emotional, and learning skills of students;
To contribute to the evidence generation on what works;
To support the teachers in planning for the extracurricular activities of the school;
To promote intercultural exchanges between the school’s administrators and teachers, and other schools ’;
To support the coordination of AVSI and MPI-DSP activities that shall take place in the school;
To write, to develop and to implement new project activities to support the school;
To support AVSI Foundation in fundraising;
To develop the collaboration with LGHS partners and find new partners, especially in private sector in Uganda, Italy and other countries where possible.

Qualification:

Education: University Degree, preferably in education
Language Proficiency: Italian / English
Work experience: At least 5 years as a teacher and / or administrator in a school
Additional experiences: Familiarity of the main social issues within disadvantage context
