Bioversity International Job Vacancy 2023

Job Description:

Lead efforts coordinating research teams in the design, the research, and the implementation of techniques for modeling the environmental sustainability and resilience of food systems in Kenya.
Review publications for their inclusion into the GHG database and collect information on the agricultural sector, to prepare articles and research reports.
Contribute to the development of a GHG database for Kenya achieved by the project, under the supervisor’s guidance.
Collect, analyze and summarize a broad range of GHG-related data that contribute to climate mitigation action plans of Kenya and other target countries
Conduct regular field visits to supervise data collection and follow-up with partners;
Participate in the publication of research results through annual reports, presentations, and publications.

Qualification & Experience:

Minimum of MSc in Agriculture with a major in agronomy, environmental sciences or a related field
Advanced knowledge of relevant administrative and operating protocols and policies required for the position
At least 2 years’ experience in agricultural and/or environmental research
