The MSI has published a job vacancy announcement on 1st April, 2024 for qualified South Sudan’s to fill in the vacant post of Evaluation Specialist to be based in Juba, South Sudan.

MSI Job Vacancy 2024

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop evaluation plans for RASS interventions.
  • Develop data collection tools and protocols, including surveys, focus group discussion guides, and key informant interview protocols.
  • Collect and analyze data using quantitative and qualitative research methods, including statistical analysis and coding of qualitative data.
  • Synthesize findings and develop recommendations for RASS improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to USAID and its stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure that evaluations adhere to ethical research standards and principles.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, agriculture, or a related field is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience in designing and implementing evaluations is required.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including data analysis and interpretation is required.
  • Experience working in South Sudan or similar developing or conflict-affected countries is required.
  • Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations, evaluation guidelines, and reporting requirements is required.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including USAID staff, government officials, and local communities is required.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills is required.

Language:

  • Strong English language skills in writing, presentation, and conversation is required.
