Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the day-to-day implementation of a comprehensive work plan that aligns with the project’s objectives and donor requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and take proactive measures to keep assessments on track.
  • Ensure the fieldwork compliance with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate staff based at regional, Zonal, and Woreda levels in collaboration with the Project Officer if any
  • Provide logistical support for the assessments, such as arranging transportation, accommodation, equipment, materials, permits, etc.
  • Support communication and reporting to local stakeholders, such as local service providers, local governments, private sector actors, community members, etc.
  • Promote positive working relationships with partners, communities, and local government partners, using participatory and inclusive approaches.
  • Coordinate with local partner organizations and institutions in the water sector.
  • Participate in meetings and consultations with the Regional Government.
  • Act as a bridge between various project stakeholders to facilitate communication and cooperation at regional level.

Minimum Requirement:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, social, natural sciences, or related field.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in WASH related programming, preferably WASH related research and assessments management.
  • Familiarity with the issues of water and sanitation systems in municipal water and sanitation facilities.
  • Demonstrated working experience in the Amhara region is highly desirable, preferably in leading WASH program implementation or research activities.

Language:

  • Fluency in English and Amharic is required. Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
