Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine laboratory tests, such as haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, serology, and immunology tests as well as COVID-19 PCR following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collect, Prepare and analyse patient samples, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control measures.
Calibrate, Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and report any malfunctions or discrepancies to senior staff.
Accurately record and document test results, maintaining complete and organized laboratory record using Clinic Protocols.
Support the inventory management of laboratory supplies, reagents, and consumables.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment.
Assist in the validation and implementation of new laboratory tests and procedures.
Ensure following of SOPs, Job Aids and Policies of each test.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

A university degree in medical laboratory technology.
National registration and license are required.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of work experience (with bachelor’s degree) in a well-organized laboratory.
Work experience in an international organization is an advantage.
Knowledge or training on ISO 15189 is an advantage.

Language Requirements:

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
