IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.
The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on February 23, 2024 for qualified Uganda’s to fill in the vacant post of Technical Operator to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans with the Factory Engineer about required consumables and machine maintenance.
- Operate the Product packing machines.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure the quality and conformity of filled or packaged products according to the required standards.
- Fill the right packaging material to filling machines as per the set time and quality.
- Carry out weekly machine routine maintenance and report any penitential breakdowns to the engineering department.
- Plan and request materials for usage and conduct reconciliation of the received materials.
