The office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) was created in 1950, during the aftermath of the Second World War, to help millions of Europeans who had fled or lost their homes. We had three years to complete our work and then disband.

The UNHCR has published a job vacancy announcement on 06th November 2023 for qualified South Africa’s to fill in the vacant post of Participatory Assessment Consultant to be based in Pretoria, South Africa.

Overall Purpose and Scope of Assignment: The aim of this consultancy is to analyze the data which is being collected through the kobo tool. The consultant will support the operations with the data cleaning, analysis of the collected data and the development of information in a dashboard such as PowerBI. Thereafter the consultant will support the operations with the drafting of the reports, providing all the necessary statistical inputs for the reports.

Eligibility Criteria

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in social services or relevant field. in a relevant field.
A minimum of 4 years of demonstrable work experience on drafting reports, data management and visualization expertise.
Experience working in the Southern Africa region will be an added advantage.
Experience working in humanitarian contexts.
Have excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Be fluent in English with excellent drafting skills.
Have good experience using the Microsoft Office suite and business intelligence (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power BI).
