Description of Duties:

The intern will work under the supervision of the Head of HIST and will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide support to the Humanitarian Information Support Team (HIST) in data collection, analysis, and visualization!
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of information management tools and databases.
  • Support the Capacity Building Team in the development and delivery of training materials and workshops.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
  • Participate in meetings and workshops with humanitarian partners and government officials.
  • Contribute to the overall work of iMMAP Inc. Ethiopia as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • Currently enrolled/recent graduates in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a relevant field such as Computer science, GIS, information management, or related fields
  • Demonstrated interest in humanitarian work and information management and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software such as Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Having Database and GIS software skills is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic
  • Has CGPA of 3.0 and above for BSc Degree holder / 3.6 and above for MSc (MA) holder
  • At least two recommendation letters from his/her academic advisor/instructor.
