The WFP has published a job vacancy announcement on 01st March 2023 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of Engineer to be based in Juba, South Sudan.

WFP Job Vacancy 2023

Job Purpose: The Engineer will be based in the WFP Country Office in Juba. When necessary, she/ he will be required to undertake field missions to conduct engineering assessments and oversee implementation of ongoing construction activities as required.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

• Advanced University degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline, or First University degree with additional years or experience and/or advanced training/courses. Accreditation to “Professional Engineer” or “Chartered Engineer” status, or recognized equivalent by an appropriate national or international regulatory authority.

Experience:

• Managing large scale projects, construction supervision and quality assurance, able to work in remote locations with limited infrastructure. Minimum 6 years’ postgraduate experience.

Language:

• Fluency in oral & written English & Arabic is desirable

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of WFP Engineering, Administration and Procurement rules and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills able to manage teams.
