Action Against Hunger Job Vacancy 2024

Purpose: As the Technical Director, you will provide strategic vision and technical leadership to improve health outcomes and system efficiencies. You will guide the development and implementation of health systems strengthening strategies, ensuring they are evidence-based and adapted to the local context.

Eligibility Criteria

Required Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in public health, international development, or a related field, and at least ten years of management responsibility in international development projects.
Extensive experience in urban health systems, particularly in Uganda.

Required Skills & Experience:

Demonstrated technical leadership in managing health programs that involve multiple stakeholders and complex, volatile contexts.
Proven experience in strategic planning, project implementation, and adaptation within donor-funded projects.
Familiarity with USAID regulations and a deep understanding of the health landscape in Uganda.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with government, donors, and other stakeholders.
Fluency in English and proficiency in local Ugandan languages is highly desirable.
