The FHI 360 has published a job vacancy announcement on 22 May 2024 for qualified Nigeria’s to fill in the vacant post of Deputy Chief of Party to be based in Abuja, Nigeria.
FHI 360 Job Vacancy 2024
Basic Function: The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will monitor all technical aspects of a USAID-funded health information system and digitization project from initiation through delivery. They will select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure technical objectives are met, and contribute project experience and learning, to global thought leadership initiatives in technical specialization.
Accountabilities:
- Under the guidance of the Chief of Party, provide technical leadership, develop technical strategies and oversee the technical implementation of Health Information Systems and Digitalization
- Provide leadership on all technical matters and ensure quality of the HISD program.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for the design and implementation of the technical program areas of Health Information Systems and Digitalization and support programs.
- Ensure that high quality technical programs are implemented in a timely manner and in coordination and collaboration with partners, the GON and other stakeholders.
Qualification:
- Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in medical/health sciences, social sciences, information technology, or any other relevant areas.
Experience:
- Typically requires a minimum of 12+ years of relevant technical/project management experience (including 8+ years of leadership, strong business acumen and/or line management experience).
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred.
- Proficient with applicable rules, regulations, and policies associated with international development USAID contractors, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
