IGCP Uganda looking for “Inventory Team Lead”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on January 31, 2024 for qualified Uganda’s to fill in the vacant post of Inventory Team Lead to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To track audit and coordinate the activities of all the staff members engaged in inventory control and accuracy of the ERP on the side of the inventory.
• Check inventory team routines that impact KPI and ensure they are measured daily weekly and monthly through reporting.
• To lead the inventory team and provide leadership for training and development in areas of weakness that will have been identified.
• To manage inventory days.
• Post review and explain all inventory count variances as well as inventory valuation.
• To manage and execute end-month closure routines.
• To establish and execute cycle count schedules and identify the cycle count discrepancies in the ABC
• To maintain and review inventory positions as required by the sales and operations planning process, customer requirements, and production schedules.
• Lead the team at the client’s way of 4.0 practices and ensure the execution.

Qualification:

• Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Proven experience as an inventory manager or similar position.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Confidence, Integrity, Trustworthy, Respectful, Team Player and Innovator.
