IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

IGCP Job Vacancy 2024
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines by carrying out pre-operation checks before the start of production from shift changeover, to control the production of defects online.
- Inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications like changing worn-out Teflon.
- Carry out pre-operation checks before the start of production from shift over, to control the production of defects online
- Monitor and check that equipment capacity meets the production schedule and targets.
- Set up and operate the production machine by established procedures and guidelines; Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery; adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
- Document production and quality records as required by the standard operating procedures.
- Conduct sealing integrity checks on finished products, check for proper best-before-date print on packs, and monitor weights by company policy and procedures.
- Perform minor adjustments and routine maintenance as per the operational manual.
- Maintain a clean workstation and equipment and sanitize according to the cleaning schedule and procedures.
