The IITA has published a job vacancy announcement on 09 April 2024 for qualified Nigeria’s to fill in the vacant post of Data Curation Officer to be based in Ibadan, Nigeria.

IITA Job Vacancy 2024

Duties:

Co-design tricot on farm and consumer testing trials and manage tricot data collection in ClimMob through the use of farmer guides and ODK phone/tablet data collections apps with the aim to do improved on farm testing for variety release and to generate gender/socially inclusive feedback from crop users along the value chain to inform breeding.
Help in promoting and adapting the tricot approach as an improved way of doing on farm testing for variety release.
Carry out fieldwork within communities and link qualitative data collected within tricot communities to quantitative tricot data.
Carry out a pilot study on drivers of use and diffusion of varieties evaluated through tricot trials within communities and the social impact of such trials.
Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification & Experience:

BSc/HND in Social Science, Rural Extension or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment with strong interest in combining qualitative and quantitative methods and strong capacity in data management.
