The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental organisation that protects the rights of people affected by displacement. This includes refugees and internally displaced persons who are forced to flee their homes as a result of conflict, human rights violations and acute violence, as well as climate change and natural disasters.
The NRC has published a job vacancy announcement on 20 February 2024 for qualified Nigeria’s to fill in the vacant post of Protection from Violence Officer to be based in Abuja, Nigeria.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of PfV projects in Borno State.
- Contribute to the establishment of a responsive database with accurate data.
- Support PfV staff in collecting proper data and validation.
- Support the production of PfV reports and protection analysis.
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree required.
- Previous experience in managing information systems.
- Skills and knowledge of information management and IT (software and networks)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in information management, preferably in the protection sector (GBVIMS, CPIMS, protection monitoring, etc.)
- Professional knowledge of IT and software management
- Skills in monitoring and evaluation would be beneficial.
