Job Purpose
- The Project Officer- LEAP is responsible for implementation of transformative livelihoods in refugee and host communities in Uganda in a project. He/she will work in close cooperation with LEAP project coordinator, Oxfam’s partners and implement the project in line with Oxfam Uganda country strategy, the donor requirements and the one program approach. The project Officer will continually identify partner capacity improvement needs and seek support from Oxfam team to provide partners with necessary technical support during implementation. The job holder will undertake periodic monitoring and evaluation, lead the process of donor reporting, resource mobilization and ensuring compliance on both Oxfam and partner side.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Land Rights Development studies, Economics, Law, Social sciences, International Development, and any related field from a recognized university.
- At least 2 years of experience and knowledge in human rights, civic engagement, land rights
- Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to ending inequality and injustice.
- Passionate about promoting human rights, business, land rights engagement, etc.

- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
- Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work.
