Key areas of accountability include:
Program Planning
- Ensure quality submission of the program operations Annual Plan with the respective phased Budget aligned with the DIP, attachments (RIPT, PIT, SIP), and a Procurement Plan before the CO set deadline.
- Develop and share a monthly Baana project work plan.
- Attend and execute/follow through actions as results from planning, review and reflection meetings with the STWG/member office representative or CO organized.
- Develop timely and quality monthly, quarterly and annual work plans shared with Regional Program Manager.
- Monitor Baana activities to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to both CO and international Save the Children policies and procedures.
- Ensure that Sponsored children in addition to all other children are on a monthly basis are planned for and targeted to benefit from the Sponsorship Program interventions.
- Ensure the timely reviews and adjustments for the project operational and implementation plans and budgets as may be required from time to time.
- Develop concepts for possible funding as need may arise.

Qualification:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related discipline.
- Preferred certificate in Project Cycle Management.
- At least 6 years working experience in managing development programs.
- Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Sponsorship, Health, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection program delivery.
- Demonstrable financial, planning and budget management skills a MUST. Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of international and local policies and frameworks relating to their thematic area is a must.
- Thorough understanding of SCI working principles and approaches of Child Participation, Child Rights Programming, Partnership, Child Safeguarding, Zero Tolerance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Program Integration etc.
- Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching
- Excellent time management and planning capacity.
- Excellent planning, coordination and reporting skills, with the ability to organize a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities.
