The Save the Children has published a job vacancy announcement on May 09, 2024 for qualified Uganda’s to fill in the vacant post of Project Lead to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

Key Areas of Accountability

Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, implementation and evaluation of the Protecting SRHR project, ensuring alignment with national and international guidelines and best practices. In addition, provide technical leadership on improving FP integration with RMNCAH initiatives.
Provide high-level technical expertise/guidance to protecting SRHR project and consortium members to design, test, and optimize models for scaling up high-impact practices (HIPs) on FP such as Post-partum Family Planning (PPFP) and post-abortion family planning (PAFP) within primary health care.
Develop and/or adapt training materials, tools, and resources to strengthen the capacity of health professionals, community workers, and other stakeholders in delivering comprehensive sexual reproductive health and family planning services.
Collaborate with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, lower local governments, and other partners to advocate for policies, programs, and funding that support sexual reproductive health and family planning initiatives.

Qualification:

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree preferably (MBChB, Nursing, Development studies or social science). Master’s degree in Public Health will be added will be added advantage.
Minimum of 12 years’ experience in design and delivery of public health or social development program.
Experience and ability to strengthen multisectoral approach and coordination.
Demonstrated knowledge of sexual reproductive health and family planning principles, approaches, and interventions, including contraception, maternal health, adolescent health, and gender equity.
Strong understanding of national and international policies, guidelines, and frameworks related to sexual reproductive health and family planning.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proven experience in capacity sharing, training, and mentorship of health professionals and community workers.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Experience working in developing countries in the health sector and successfully managing a high-pace multi-disciplinary team to achieve development results.
Sound understanding of different methodologies of M&E and operational research and experience in developing integrated M&E and Learning systems.
Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
