The UNDP has published a job vacancy announcement on 08th November 2024 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of Project Management Analyst to be based in Juba, South Sudan.

UNDP Job Vacancy 2024

Position Purpose: Under the direct supervision of Deputy Resident Representative for Programme (DRR-P) of UNDP South Sudan Country Office, and in close collaboration with Country’s Programme and Operation teams, the Project Management Analyst shall manage the implementation of GEMS/PFM project activities and supervise the staff in accordance with UNDP’s policies, rules and regulations and guidelines. This includes planning, resource mobilization, procurement, administration, monitoring, reporting, knowledge building and partnerships.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, or in any relevant field of Social Sciences.
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • PhD degree is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in managing projects or programme is required;
  • Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of web-based management systems such as ERP is required;
  • Experience in supervising staff and managing consultants is desired;
  • Knowledge and experience of spreadsheets, database packages and web-based financial and administrative management systems is desired;
  • Experience/Knowledge of UNDP procedures, rules and regulations for project/programme implementation is an advantage;
  • Experience in working on governance and public administration as well as public finance management support projects is an advantage;
  • Experience working within conflict, post-conflict, or transitional state environments is an advantage.

Language:

  • Fluency in English and local language is requirement.
  • Knowledge of other UN languages is an added advantage.
