The NRC has published a job vacancy announcement on 11th December 2023 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of BHA Project Manager to be based in Mayom, South Sudan.

General Responsibilities

Line management for project staff
Adherence to NRC policies, guidance, and procedures
Coordinate and manage project implementation (activities, budget, and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies, and donor requirements.
Implement technical direction and ensure high technical quality of projects.
Provide regular progress reports to the Area Manager and sector Specialists.
Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.
Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.
Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context with noticeable experience in Food for Peace (currently Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance) or relevant interventions
Relevant degree or higher tertiary qualification in any development discipline (e.g. Agriculture, Food Security, WASH, Protection, Social Studies, Economics and Development Studies)
Documented experience of managing USAID grants
Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Strong Technical Expertise in WASH, Protection, Livelihoods and Food Security with commendable GBV or legal assistance exposure
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
