UNOPS South Sudan looking for “Quality Engineering Technician”.

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan is a United Nations peacekeeping mission for the recently independent South Sudan, which became independent on 9 July 2011. UNMISS was established on 8 July 2011 by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1996.
The UNOPS has published a job vacancy announcement on 19th March 2024 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of Quality Engineering Technician to be based in South Sudan.

Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Secondary School Certificate is required;
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering, or related field is an added advantage;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Engineering, or related field is an asset.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years professional experience in public works activities with Secondary School Certificate is required OR;
- Minimum of three (3) years professional experience in public works activities with Diploma OR;
- Minimum of one (1) year professional experience in public works activities with Degree;
- Good communication skills is an asset;
- Experience implementing World Bank funded projects is an asset.
Language requirement:
- Fluency in written, reading and oral English required;
- Knowledge of Local Arabic language is an asset.
