UNMISS South Sudan looking for “Rule of Law Adviser”.

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan is a United Nations peacekeeping mission for the recently independent South Sudan, which became independent on 9 July 2011. UNMISS was established on 8 July 2011 by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1996.
The UNMISS has published a job vacancy announcement on 20th February 2024 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of Rule of Law Adviser to be based in Pibor, South Sudan.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications/ Special Skills:
- Bachelor or an advanced university degree in law, criminal justice, political sciences, anthropology, or a related discipline. At least two (2) years following completion of master’s degree or equivalent, four (4) years following completion of LLB or equivalent, of progressively responsible, professional experience in law, criminal justice, political sciences, or a related discipline is required Familiarity with the social, political, economic context in GPAA is required Demonstrable familiarity with justice programming and CVR is desirable
Languages:
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
- Knowledge of the Murle language is desirable
