IGCP South Africa looking for “Business Administration Associate”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional Afromontane Forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.
The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on 09th May 2024 for qualified South Africa’s to fill in the vacant post of Business Administration Associate to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation and maintenance of business processes and workflows
- Support daily administrative activities of the Trust Director
- Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify new business optimization trends.
- Assist in developing compliance processes (risk assessments, process improvement and quality assurance)
- Support in the creation of strategic frameworks, business strategies and implementation plans.
- Support in the preparation of board reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective communication and coordination of Trust activities.
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing key strategic objectives to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Support in managing relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Support Human Resources initiatives
- Support Technology improvements
- Support in managing project timelines and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Any other assigned duties
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Project Management, Social Entrepreneurship, or a related field. Masters would be good. Associate must display strong interest in business acumen and their need to develop their skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to support decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Knowledge of business principles and practices, with a strong interest in business management.
