IGCP South Africa looking for “IT Associate”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional Afromontane Forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.
The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on 26th April 2024 for qualified South Africa’s to fill in the vacant post of IT Associate to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend to IT related enquiries.
- Troubleshooting computer and software related problems.
- Install and uninstall software as requested and approved.
- Support the broad IT team.
- Keep register of IT assets owned by the organization.
- Keep track of all IT related costs in partnership with the finance team.
- Support procurement team with procurement of IT related equipment.
- Train staff on use of computers, IT policy and any other software.
- Any other duties, as assigned by the line manager, in line with the role.
Eligibility Criteria
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology
- MS Office Package
- Driver’s Licence
