IGCP Zambia looking for “Monitoring and Evaluation Associate”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on 14th May, 2024 for qualified Zambians to fill in the vacant post of Monitoring and Evaluation Associate to be based in Lusaka, Zambia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of the Program Manager to ensure high-quality program information is available and used to promote program accountability, learning and improvement.
  • Perform quality control and regulate audits of the program progress and results.
  • Work with Program Manager and Program Officers to determine impact indicators for the organization programs in Zambia.
  • Provide support to proposal development for M&E components
  • Master and lead in the use of technological innovations for collecting and analyzing data so as to measure programming impact
  • Prepare project reports for management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor project activities, outputs and progress towards anticipated results
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Development Planning, Project Management, Sociology, Economics or other related fields.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with and understanding of qualitative and quantitative methodologies that incorporate rigorous statistical methods.
  • Demonstrated skill in statistical analysis and Management of Information Systems
  • Demonstrated skills in information analysis and writing comprehensive and high quality reports.
  • Strong skills in all MS Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
