UNMISS South Sudan looking for “Facilities Management Assistant”.

The United Nations Mission in South Sudan is a United Nations peacekeeping mission for the recently independent South Sudan, which became independent on 9 July 2011. UNMISS was established on 8 July 2011 by United Nations Security Council Resolution 1996.

The UNMISS has published a job vacancy announcement on 19th February 2024 for qualified South Sudanese to fill in the vacant post of Facilities Management Assistant to be based in Torit, South Sudan.

UNMISS Job Vacancy 2024

Org. Setting and Reporting: This position is in the Engineering Section of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Torit. The incumbent will report to the Field Engineer, Torit.

Eligibility Criteria

Education:

High school diploma or High school certificate required.

Job – Specific Qualification:

A valid Driving license is required. Solid computer skills, including full proficiency in various MS Office application (word, excel, PowerPoint) and other IT applications and office equipment technology is required. Relevant training in facility management is desirable.

Work Experience:

At least three (3) years of experience in facilities management with a UN Agency or other international Organization is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience in operation of heavy machinery is required.
