The DRC has published a job vacancy announcement on 05 December 2023 for qualified Kenya’s to fill in the vacant post of Finance Coordinator to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Overall purpose of the role: The Finance Coordinator (FC) is responsible for supporting the finance department of DRCs Kenya Country Program. S/he is responsible for ensuring compliance to DRC and donor finance rules, regulations, systems and reporting and to supports the budget holders to ensure timely, responsible, cost effective and accurate use of funding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and control journals from all field locations ensuring timely upload in the Accounting System
Review bank reconciliation statements and vouchers from the Field Offices to ensure that they are executed according to the Operations Handbook and other requirements, and give relevant feedback to the Field Offices
Review and take corrective action on partners finance reports/submissions, undertake regular reconciliation of all partner accounts in liaison with partnership finance officer.
Review and approve fund requests from Field Offices to the country office.
