IGCP Uganda looking for “Technical Service Advisor”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on March 08, 2024 for qualified Uganda’s to fill in the vacant post of Technical Service Advisor to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

Duties And Responsibilities

Providing technical assistance with equipment operations, setting equipment parameters.
Data collection, collation and manipulation through available IT systems
Manages and maintains archive of company data, including ensuring that backups are created, maintenance of archive database, storage and retrieval of physical media for recent show archives
Review vendor & stock paper work patterns to ensure compliance.
Perform records entries as assigned and periodic reports
Any other duties as required as commensurate to the post

Qualification:

A Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a leadership role.
Diploma in Electrical is a MUST.
Proficiency with basic computer programs including MS Office, database systems & familiar working electrical equipment.
Highly motivated, strategic thinker with a strong record of achievement
Ability to work under strict supervision and work under high-pressure.
Good time-management skills
Ready to work in shifts (Nights)
Excellent Communication skills and the ability to work closely with team members
