IOM Kenya looking for “Project Development and Reporting Officer”.

With 174 member states, a further 8 states holding observer status and offices in over 100 countries, IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

The IOM has published a job vacancy announcement on 02 March 2024 for qualified Kenya’s to fill in the vacant post of Project Development and Reporting Officer to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

IOM Job Vacancy 2024

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with relevant units in the CO, draft visibility and other resource mobilization materials and organize donor briefings and visits.
  • Support capacity building and training activities in the field of programme development, donor and institutional reporting and the roll-out of the SRF for CO’s staff through workshops and seminars.
  • In support of knowledge management, maintain accurate, updated and pertinent records of all correspondences, project development and donor and institutional reporting files, and related information in IOM’s relevant software application.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience;
  • Master’s degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in supporting results-based project development and reporting, technical writing and editing, preferably in the international development/humanitarian sector;
  • Work experience in donor relations and grant management for specific donors of IOM’s interest;
