IGCP Uganda looking for “Credit Analyst”.

IGCP was formed in 1991 to address the long-term conservation of the mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) and its regional afromontane forest habitat in the Virunga Bwindi Landscape. Our aim has been to work together as a single gorilla conservation program in order to expand and consolidate the successes of the Mountain Gorilla Project and other initiatives at a regional level.

The IGCP has published a job vacancy announcement on March 05, 2024 for qualified Uganda’s to fill in the vacant post of Credit Analyst to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

Duties and Responsibilities

Countercheck and approve all PayG applications analyzed by credit administrators and ensure they are processed within the acceptable timelines.
Verify Compliance to PayG lending policy through customer survey to inspect ability to pay, credit scoring, fulfillment of PayG contract requirements and proper documentation to ensure PayG credit risk is adequately mitigated.
Review all existing PayG customer relationships and make recommendations to the management to aid quality PayG customer lending.
Prepare drafts and or recommend proposals for review of any PayG lending product facilities and guidelines for further review and further approval by the management.
Follow up with the Sales agents and credit administrators to ensure fulfillment of ALL PayG sanction conditions and other agreements prior to installation of PayG products.
Recommend policy reviews for customer service and PayG risk management improvement based on customer feedback, experiences and industry trends.

Qualification:

Business related degree (CPA 2 an added advantage).
3 years’ experience in credit analysis in a Consumer/Micro financing and or PayG lending environment, debt collection and recovery.
Knowledge of alternative credit appraisal mechanisms and substitute securities like solar units/assets etc.
Capacity and willingness to work for long hours and within strict deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills with good leadership skills.
Knowledgeable on the financial services, Micro Finance and consumer lending sectors is a must.
