Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with UAT project’s program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices for health policy and systems strengthening.
- Provide technical assistance to counties including capacity building on policy development, implementation, review and monitoring and ensure effective supervision of other staff.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with national and county level target policymakers, government and ministerial officials and staff, strategic partners, and key opinion leaders to promote priority policy changes and policy implementation including investments.
- Provide technical and policy advisory support and thought partnerships to decision makers at national and county levels.
- Provide technical assistance to civil society organizations on the development and implementation of effective advocacy strategies/initiatives or approaches at national and county level.
- Represent UAT in meetings at national and county levels to support the forging relations with the GOK, CBOs, other stakeholders, and the community.
- Represent UAT in key technical working groups (TWG) and strategic forums at national and subnational level to contribute thought partnerships to policy making processes.
- Take lead in providing technical assistance, guidance, and capacity strengthening for project staff including in the development of tools, templates, fact sheets and policy briefs.
- Coordinate and monitor financial and material resources relevant to achieve the assigned project outcome. ensuring efficient use of project resources through planning and oversight.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all assigned project activities per donor and UAT standards and established schedules.

Minimum Requirement:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, international development, or a related field. Master’s degree in public health, medicine, health systems strengthening (public policy), social sciences or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 7 years relevant experience in Public Health.
- Experience in implementing and managing US Government funded projects and/or other similar donor funded projects.
- Experience working with the Ministry of Health and County Health Management Teams required.
