The UNEP has published a job vacancy announcement on 09 March 2023 for qualified Kenya’s to fill in the vacant post of Senior Expert to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

UNEP Job Vacancy 2023

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Head of the OEWG Secretariat, the senior consultant will focus on the following duties:

Coordination of meetings of the TAG to the UNEP ED (face-to-face and / or virtual).
Development of materials outlining the work of the TAG for dissemination to the wider stakeholder groups (Member States and Major Groups).
Conceptual framework (as linked to scope and functions of the panel).
Prioritisation framework (as linked to scope of the panel).
Definition of working relationship with existing structures and key partners.

Qualification & Experience:

Advanced university degree in a field related to international assessments, policy and governance, communications, economics, natural sciences.
At least 7 years of working experience in international assessments
Awareness of multi-lateral process
Experience in intergovernmental processes

Languages:

Fluency in English, including good drafting/writing skills is required. Working knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
