Job Purpose

Marsabit County is the largest county in Kenya, spanning 70,961 square kilometres, sharing borders with Ethiopia and neighbouring counties like Turkana, Wajir, Isiolo, and Samburu. Its capital is Marsabit, with a population of 459,785 according to the 2019 census, 77 percent of whom live in the vast rural countryside. It is part of the approximately 80% of the country’s landmass classified as arid and semi-arid land (ASAL) where the primary livelihood is predominantly pastoralism with the subsidiary being agro-pastoralism.

Qualification:

Education : Currently enrolled in the University and have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate programme within the last 6 months from a university in agriculture & food systems, climate change, livestock, rural development, environment and natural resource management, watershed management, economics, fisheries, Range management, Agric economics, environment & community development, social science with a relevant focus or another relevant technical field.
Language : Fluency in written and spoken English.
